Catherine Pearce, M.B.A., D.HSc., founded JucaBio, LLC in April 2023.  Dr. Pearce was a co-founder and COO of CinCor Pharma, Inc, a clinical stage biotech that was acquired by AstraZeneca for up to $1.8 billion in early 2023.  Previously, Dr. Pearce served as both the Chief Operating Officer of CinRx Pharma, LLC (co-founder) and the vice president, strategic alliances at Medpace from September 2015 until August 2021. Dr. Pearce also served as the Vice President, Research and Development at Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. from April 2013 until September 2015. Dr. Pearce has a B.S. and an M.B.A. from Xavier University and a doctorate of health sciences from Nova Southeastern University.    

Justin R. Thompson, MS, founded JucaBio, LLC in April 2023.  Mr. Thompson led the in-licensing of baxdrostat from Roche as part of the founding team of CinCor Pharma, Inc, a clinical stage biotech that was acquired by AstraZeneca for up to $1.8 billion in early 2023.  Prior to CinCor, Mr. Thompson served as the Chief Business Officer at CinRx Pharma, LLC. Mr. Thompson served as principal investor of CincyTech LLC, a public-private seed-stage investor focused on high growth life science and digital companies, from January 2008 until April 2016. Mr. Thompson has a M.S. from University of Cincinnati and a B.S. from Washington University in St. Louis.
